Many people come to Jesus and accept Him as their Savior but depend on others to teach them the Bible. Since the Bible is God’s Word to us, collectively and personally, we MUST read it ourselves to get His Truth into our hearts and minds. We can NOT rely on others to teach us because it’s too easy to displace our faith and trust in doctrines instead of Christ. We should sit under a Godly pastor to learn ABOUT God, but each of us must study the Bible to absorb the Truth and KNOW God so we can have a relationship with Jesus and put ALL of our faith in Him.
