The words “right hand” indicate power and strength. After His death and resurrection, Jesus returned to Heaven and sat at God’s “right hand,” indicating God had given Him equal power and authority. When David says he’s not afraid because God is at his “right hand,” he means he can face his battles and not back down because God is with him. As Christians, we are filled with God’s Spirit—and no, we are not “little gods!”—we are God’s children. We can stand for our cause and fight our battles because we trust and have confidence that God will lead us to victory.
