Loving and obedient children want to please their parents because they love their parents as much as they are loved by them. This is our relationship with God when we accept the salvation of Jesus and study the Bible to know Him. We learn of God’s love for us and who we are in Him, and the closer we get to Jesus, the more we want to be like Him and please our Father! Obedience isn’t a chore we HAVE to do to keep God happy; it’s a humble response we WANT to do because we love and respect our Father!
