Many new Christians bring their old habits into the new life. They don’t realize that being born again isn’t a magical event; we don’t become instantly perfect—AND God doesn’t accept the sins we carry forward, either, as some in Christendom say. Jesus forgave our sins on the cross and made us righteous to enter Heaven, but we still live in a corrupt world; we MUST wilfully leave our sinful baggage behind and follow Jesus. So, we study the Bible to know Him and seek Him daily to help us overcome our old habits so that we give Him glory in everything we say and do!
