Many Christians don’t understand what it is to be meek. It doesn’t mean humility towards the world’s people and being their doormats or scapegoats. Meekness is a gift of the Spirit, a virtue of submission toward Jesus; it’s being humble and grateful for His sacrifice that saved us from our sins and gave us eternal life. It’s our attitude of love and respect for the Lord AND each other. As God’s children in this chaotic world, our purpose is to share the gospel peacefully and prayerfully with others so they can know Jesus.
