Good works do NOT get us a ticket into Heaven. God is Holy, and we are sinful people, so Jesus came and died on the cross for our sins (John 3:16), but ONLY those who accept His salvation get into Heaven. And John 14:6 confirms that Jesus is the ONLY way to the Father. Jesus instructs us in Matthew 25:40 to care for the poor, help the needy, and feed the hungry because we are the Lord’s servants and are to do these things unto Him. James 2:14-26 says we don’t do good works to work our way into Heaven, but in obedience to the Lord due to our faith in Him.
