Being a Christian is more than belonging to a physical congregation; it’s having a relationship with Jesus. We became a Christian because God gave us enough faith to believe that we were sinners in need of a Savior and that Jesus IS that Savior. But we need to study the Scriptures to know Jesus personally and understand that He’s also our Lord and Friend, and the King who is about to pour His judgment out upon this sinful world. The closer we get to Jesus, the more we realize that Jesus IS the Truth who set us free, the One who now fills our hearts with hope, joy, and peace.
