An old Christian saying goes, “Do all you can do, and God will do the rest.” In essence, we choose our own goal and do what we can towards it, and then God will jump in at our request and make it happen. However, if we choose to do something based on our own thinking or desires, we neither follow Jesus nor do His will. Jesus is our Lord, and a lord is someone who owns his citizens and takes care of them. Satan owns the people of this world through sin, but Jesus bought us back to Himself through His own shed blood. We belong to Jesus, and He wants to lead us in all of our ways because then, He can keep us on the path to Heaven.
