Love and Revenge

Many of us have been hurt, angered, and even betrayed by others, and we’ve wanted to get even with them for what they’d done. But God has told us to let Him avenge us and not pursue it ourselves. Why? Because we were once part of this world and did things that were wrong in God’s eyes, and yet He died for our sins and forgave us anyway. As His children, we must see all people through God’s eyes, seek His wisdom, obey His commandments, and forgive those who come against us. Instead of revenge, we are to show them the same love that God shows us and pray for them to find Jesus so they’ll turn from their wicked ways and know the love of God, just as we have done.
