The Bible is the Word of God; it is God speaking to us. When we study it to know Him, we learn what is good and what is sin because His truth becomes written in our hearts. Sometimes temptation will cause us to slip up and do what we shouldn’t do or at least think about doing it, but God’s Spirit in us checks us right away so that we can repent and turn away from it. When we obey the first commandment, to love God with all of our heart, mind, soul, and strength, our relationship with Jesus grows and our only desire is to serve and please Him.
