Giving thanks to the Lord is more than just praising Him for the things we see and for the good times in our lives; it’s also praising Him for the things we don’t see and for His presence during the bad times. We give Him praise and thanks always because God works on our behalf around the clock. He leads us and guides us when we lose our way, and He watches over us and protects us when we aren’t even aware that evil is waiting to pounce on us. God makes us strong when we are weak and He blesses us when we don’t deserve it. His love surrounds us; He never leaves us. It’s important that we give God thanks on this Thanksgiving day and every day for all He has done for us. Let’s make it a personal song that begins with, “Thank you, Jesus, for loving me and redeeming me back to my Heavenly Father!”
