God sees everything that happens in our lives; in fact, nothing happens that He doesn’t allow. But He wants us to come to Him and ask for our needs and our desires because in doing this, we develop a strong bond with Him. We begin to see God as our Heavenly Father and we realize that He has given us a free will to choose. When we come to God in prayer and ask for something, we also confirm to ourselves that our hope and faith are in Him alone and not in the world. Every time we surrender even the smallest issue to God, we allow Him to draw us closer, and there is no place in the world we want to be more than in His presence. God is good.
