COVID-9 has infected hundreds of thousands of people across the globe and has killed many thousands in a painful and horrific way. It can be difficult to give thanks to God when life is overwhelmed with fear. Those who don’t know God will curse Him, either because He allowed this or won’t stop it, and many believers won’t want to give thanks, either, because they are captivated by the attack of this spiritual darkness.

Yet, we should give thanks to God, not for allowing this, but because He is God and we are His children, and because He said in the Scriptures that He is our protector and our healer. We need to get His words deep into our hearts and believe them! We need to walk by faith and not by sight! Then, we can thank Him and praise Him because we know that our lives are in God’s hands. God sent His own Son to die on the cross for our sins, and then He raised Him from the dead. Jesus is alive and He’s coming soon to call us out of here and take us to Heaven with Him! That alone should keep us busy giving praises and thanks to God.  We will feel His presence and be engulfed with His love when our hearts focus on giving God thanks in spite of what’s going on in this world.
