The greatest gift to every person is the gift of salvation that Jesus gave to us when He died on the cross for our sins. If you have received this gift, then you know how amazing and loving our Heavenly Father is.
- For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.—John 3:16-17
As we near this season referred to as Easter, we believers look to God and know that it’s really Resurrection Day because this is the anniversary of Jesus being raised from the dead. This is the day when He established our freedom and proclaimed the victory over sin and death so that we could be redeemed back to our Heavenly Father forever.
Unfortunately, it’s too often celebrated with feasts and chocolate, and with bunnies and candy eggs. And as fun as this can be, it is not how we celebrate our salvation. Jesus paid a big price for our freedom: He left His throne in Heaven to become a man here on earth and then take on all of our sins and die a brutal death as a punishment for them. Then He was cast into hell which is the destination for all sin. But God was faithful and He raised Jesus from the dead free of sin, filled Him once again with His Holy Spirit and then raptured Him back to Heaven.
We need to renew our minds with the truth about this holiday season so that our hearts can be filled with love and thanksgiving and so that we can worship our Lord and Savior. The Old Testament prophets spoke clearly about Jesus and how He would come and save us, and the New Testament is filled with testimonies of this truth. I want to encourage you to know Jesus and to understand what He endured to save us, and so I want to share with you the book that God inspired me to write called, The Rising Son.
It’s a collection of short stories that are written to encourage and bless you. Each story is an emotional testimony from those who knew Jesus, as imagined by this author, but all according to Scripture. You will understand who Jesus is, why He came to earth, and why the cross is so vitally important to your life. You will learn who Jesus is through the eyes of those who knew Him. Based on Scripture, highlighted with emotion, and illustrated to read as a story, it is my hope that you will read this book and be blessed, that you will come to know Jesus in an even more personal way, and that you can be reassured of the love that God has for you.
This book is easy to read and is available in standard and large print so that children, teens, adults, and the elderly can read it and be blessed! Please get your copy today and make it a gift to celebrate with that will give life and hope, instead of candies that give nothing to the soul.
- And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.”—Mark 16:15
