Many people are searching for God and being deceived because the New Age Christianity is dominant and says that you can know God, go to Heaven and still enjoy living in your sin. The world is spiraling into eternal destruction and Believers must stand out and speak the truth now while we can; otherwise, these people will all go to hell because of their sin. It is our responsibility to shine with God’s truth and warn them because we are His light in this world.
Jesus is getting ready to call all of the Believers to join Him in the clouds in what is referred to as the rapture of the church. It’s real. It’s not a fairy tale, not an elusive dream to escape the hardships of this world and not anything to be mocked. It IS going to happen, and very soon. This is why Believers must stop thinking about how they can prosper in this world, and start focusing on the truth! This world is about to face its worst time in history; a time that the Bible refers to as “Jacobs’s trouble.”
- “Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also.”—John 14:1-3
We are living in the times that Jesus warned us about in Matthew 24. Immorality is out of control; people are changing their natural genders in defiance of God’s creation, and free sex between male and female, and same-sex people have become the accepted norm across the world. Human sacrifices that years ago would have appalled our ancestors are now accepted as millions of unborn babies are legally murdered. The laws of God are being changed to please this sinful world, and people have lost their fear of God: truly, we are at the doorstep of judgment!
Israel is falling into place and all the prophecies about it have come to pass so far, as we follow the issues and the wars that this land endures. It’s right on schedule, and it’s setting the stage for the return of the Messiah. But before He comes to reign in Jerusalem, Jesus will call us to join Him, and once we are gone, the Holy Spirit will no longer live in people and the light that can shine now will be gone.
It’s not right for us to sit by and do nothing when we have that light in us to shine now. We have to shine brightly and to everyone we see. We have to warn people that we are truly heading into the Great Tribulation and that they need to be saved to escape it. Being a Christian (a believer in Christ) is not about what we can get from God to make our life more comfortable. Being a Christian means doing God’s will, following what Jesus told us to do—and that is to preach the gospel. And what is the gospel? It’s the salvation message of Christ that tells people to repent and to receive Him as their Lord and Savior.
- Truly, these times of ignorance God overlooked, but now commands all men everywhere to repent, because He has appointed a day on which He will judge the world in righteousness by the Man whom He has ordained. He has given assurance of this to all by raising Him from the dead.—Acts 17:30-31
The salvation message is not just about God’s love and grace, and blessings. These are gifts of God, but the message is to REPENT! To receive Jesus as Lord and Savior! It’s not enough to just agree with it, and it’s not enough to celebrate the grace and sing the songs in worship. Salvation is a complete change of heart—having the sins removed and God’s Spirit come alive in us. No sin gets into Heaven, and no person with sin in them will get into Heaven. Every single person has the opportunity to receive salvation and live with Jesus forever because Jesus died for everyone (John 3:16a), but ONLY those who repent of their sins and accept Him as their Savior will be saved (John 3:16b).
We need to shine more brightly now than ever before because we have to be seen through the clouds of deception that false Christianity is putting forth to blind the people. We will only be noticed when we become that light! This means that we are who we say we are, who we proclaim Christ to be, and that the character of God is true in us. No hypocrisy, no double-standards. We need to reflect in our lives the message that we preach. Then our light will shine!
The only light this world has is inside the Believers! If we don’t shine God’s light and don’t live the life that God has given to us, then a multitude of people will die lost—and that includes family members and friends. We are God’s temple, and when we live the way God has told us to live regardless of what the world thinks, people will see God in us and know that we are different. We are the only Bible many of them will ever see!
The time is short and Jesus is getting ready to call us Home. We need to take our focus off of how we can prosper in this world and put it on the mission that God has given to us to complete. We will be blessed beyond our greatest imagination when Jesus takes us out of here, so let’s focus on using our time wisely now, and let’s shine as brightly as we can and help others to find their way Home!
