Itching Ears

This New Age Society is bold and aggressive because people don’t want to be ruled by the old laws (of God) anymore. Now they are free to enjoy a life of sin and not be condemned for their choice of idolatry and immorality. Perhaps the greatest tragedy in this legalized Godless society, though, is that so-called Christians are falling for these deceptions because they’ve taken their eyes off of God  to fulfill their itching ears.

There is only one body that makes up the church of God and they are the believers who accept Jesus Christ as their Savior and who follow and obey Him as their Lord.  There is only one gospel, and only one set of laws that we know as the Ten Commandments, which God gave to us in the Old Testament. THESE LAWS ARE STILL IN EFFECT! There is nowhere in the entire Bible that disputes or amends these laws. Period.

God knows it’s impossible for us to follow them perfectly, so He sent His Son, Jesus, to take our sins upon Himself and die on the cross to pay the punishment on our behalf. When we accept Jesus as our Savior, we are forgiven and freed from the wages of sin, which is death that comes to all those who still have their sins when they face Christ on Judgment Day.

The deceptions are subtle so if we are going to call ourselves Christians and if we believe that God IS the only God, then we need to be learned in the things of God. The Bible is very clear that we canNOT serve two masters! We need to decide who we will serve because this world is becoming obviously divided, and we either blend in or stand out. We cannot enjoy the sins of the world and call ourselves Christians.

Sadly, many new Christians join a church that preaches a false doctrine, and they  don’t know the truth so they accept the new age policies, not realizing the detriment of their ignorance. They want to be saved, and they want to go to Heaven when they die,  but they are careless and don’t read the Bible because they’d prefer that the leaders do all the work. So, they have no faith in God because they can’t discern truth from lies.

  • So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.—Romans 10:17

We cannot put our lives in the hands of people and expect perfect results because we are all sinners. We cannot assume that our salvation is sure when we don’t even know Jesus who died for us. Salvation is personal and when we receive it, Jesus becomes our purpose for living.

  • Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling; for it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure.—Philippians 2:12-13

We need to get into the Scriptures and study them prayerfully every day! We need to fill our heart with God’s truth so that when deception comes knocking at our door, we can see what it is and rebuke it! We can’t afford to fall prey to its cunning ways because it’s like sinking sand; once we get on it, we can’t get off unless there’s someone to save us, and if we have turned our back on Jesus, who will be our Savior?

Things are moving quickly towards judgment, now calling evil good and good evil.  We are God’s ambassadors on this earth, and we MUST speak up for His truth. Yes, we’ll stand out and be different and that’s because we are different! We belong to God.

  • But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.—1 Peter 2:9

The false church is growing in leaps and bounds, and the people think that God is happy with them for starting this global revival, but how can it be a revival of God’s people when they don’t even know God?  They will perish thinking they are saved!

  • My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Because you have rejected knowledge, I also will reject you…—Hosea 4:6

This New Age church is playing a magnetic role in the deception that is swallowing up the foolish in these last days. It preaches that God is love and that He accepts all lifestyles, even in the pulpit. So, people find the church that suits their desires and blend right in because they don’t know God or the Scriptures to know that they are being deceived. As believers in Christ, we need to tell them the truth even though it will offend them.

  • “These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.”—John 16:33

Time is running out and we need to be bold and speak God’s truth and help lead as many to Jesus as we can, while we can. Yes, we’ll persecuted, mocked and accused,  but we keep going. Jesus didn’t quit when things got rough; He completed His plan and went to the cross for us anyway. So, let’s get out there and speak against the lies and help people to follow Jesus instead of their itching ears.

  1. I agree with you Ronnie! Mist children ( no matter what their age 1-50) don’t seem to think much about God. So very sad. Even my daughter doesn’t believe in God and she grew up happily in church.

    • I think as parents we have to just continue lifting our children in prayer and asking God to send other laborers across their path to teach them the truth. It’s hard because the spirit of rebellion is so great now in the world – but God is greater than any evil spirit, so we keep going. Thanks for your comment. I’ll pray for your daughter. God bless you!
