The New Age Christianity has compromised the true gospel of Christ. Instead of glorifying God through His Son Jesus who came to earth and died for their sins, the followers of these false doctrines see Jesus as a superhero they’ve imagined to suit their own desires. They don’t realize that salvation requires repentance, and they assume they’re all destined for Heaven. We must warn them because if they die in this deception, they will die lost!
There should be a rule that says people can’t call themselves Christians unless they follow Jesus! It’s no wonder that this world is in chaos as it spirals downhill towards judgment. Christianity has become a generic label that simply means you acknowledge that there is a God and someone named Jesus. There are many diverse interpretations of God and His laws within the heretic doctrines, yet these so-called Christians accept each other as brethren, as do many of the real Christians.
New believers who don’t get into the Bible to know the truth are easily drawn into these deceiving doctrines. Others don’t participate in the sins of the world, but have no objection to anyone else doing it, and even support those who do. And still others believe that God loves everyone and accepts people just as they are because all sin ended at the cross. The truth is, either you repent, accept Jesus as your only Savior and follow Him alone, or you still belong to this world.
- He who justifies the wicked, and he who condemns the just, Both of them alike are an abomination to the Lord.—Proverbs 17:15
God loves us as it says in John 3:16. The New Testament is filled with Scriptures that speak of God’s love for us, but He also loved us in the Old Testament when He gave His laws for us to follow. God didn’t give these laws because He was a militant power that just wanted to control people, but because He loves people and He knows how easy it is for us to fall into sin. Obedience to His laws would keep us out of sin, and away from judgment.
- For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.—Romans 6:23
The Old Testament is filled with prophecies about Jesus coming as our Savior, our Messiah, and the New Testament is a fulfillment of that promise. Jesus didn’t come to replace the law; He came to fulfill the law! He is the same today as He was yesterday and as He will be tomorrow. We need to share the message that there is only one God, and only ONE way to get to Heaven when we die, and that is by accepting the salvation of Jesus. He is the door to Heaven! There is no debate, no compromise. Period.
- I am the door. If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture.—John 10:9
Jesus is getting ready to return to earth, and not as a humble Savior this time but as a mighty warrior and judge! First He’ll call His church to join Him in Heaven in what we refer to as the rapture. Then there will be seven years of tribulation here on this earth as God’s judgment is poured out, and you do not want anyone you love to be here then! When will this happen? It could be any minute, any day—no one knows exactly when. However, all the signs in Matthew 24 are being lived out right before our very eyes. This period of God’s grace is about to end.
We can’t put it off any longer and pretend that it doesn’t matter, that it doesn’t pertain to us. It does matter! We can’t all be out in the front lines as teachers and preachers, but we can be a missionary to the people around us; to our family, friends, neighbors, taxi drivers, co-workers, acquaintances, peers in the classroom, at the gym, in the dog park, and in church. This is our mission field. These people are the ones who God is expecting us to share the true gospel with.
Satan, however, doesn’t want anyone to know the truth, so he blinds the people and convinces them that God has changed, that what God called sin in the Old Testament isn’t really sin today, and that everyone will go to Heaven because, after all, God is love. This false doctrine has convinced thousands of people that repentance isn’t necessary, that abortion isn’t really murder and that being gay is God’s way of telling us to enjoy life. We cannot just let them go on living this lie. If they won’t listen to us, then we must pray that God will open an opportunity for us or for someone else to show them the truth.
As we grow in the Lord, we become more like God. We love what God loves and we hate what God hates. His will becomes our will. We must pray and study the Bible and seek God so that His love for people will burn in our heart, and so we will be compelled to tell them about Jesus, that they need to repent, turn from their sin and follow Him.
We can’t look away from sin because we like the person that’s living in it and don’t want to offend them. We need to offend them so they’ll think about it and realize it’s wrong! We must warn them or they’ll go to Hell when they die, and we may be held accountable because we didn’t say anything to them when we knew that what they were doing was wrong. We need to warn people of the coming judgment so they can turn from their sins NOW, repent, and follow Jesus while there is still grace. We need to let our light shine bright as this world grows darker.
- You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden.—Matthew 5:14
How bad would you feel if someone you knew went to Hell because they thought they were saved and you didn’t speak up and tell them the truth? Let’s do what Jesus told us to do—speak the truth and draw the lost out of the shadows and into the light where they can see God and accept Jesus as their Savior.
