Resort or Battleground?

deception

New Age Christianity is doing its best to convince new and uneducated believers that they are now the new chosen people and that God wants only blessings and a good life for them here on earth. The message of salvation has been twisted so that deception has people confused as to whether our life on earth is a resort or a battleground.

Deception can only happen when you don’t know the truth! It motivates you to chomp on its bait and leads you down a path of destruction—away from God.  Truth, however, gives you wisdom and life, and insight to the devil’s lies. There is no compromise! God does not change!

  • Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.—Hebrews 13:8

The prosperity message can’t be found anywhere in the Bible because Christianity is not a formula for human desires or a personal wish list for our ideals, traditions or religion. Nor does Scripture support the inclusion doctrine that says everyone is automatically saved. This is a lie that will keep you from receiving the only salvation, given to us by Jesus. Christianity means “follower of Christ”. It’s about being born again and receiving God’s Spirit in our heart!

  • Jesus answered and said unto him, “Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.”—John 3:3

imagesThis world is spinning quickly towards judgment. God tells us in 2 Corinthians 6:17 to come out of the world and serve Him. From the time of the Old Testament heroes who looked for the Messiah until today where we receive His salvation, life has not been a bed of roses. Instead, it’s a daily battle against the forces of darkness that want to destroy us. And this battle intensifies daily because we’re living in the final days before the return of Christ—and the devil knows his time is almost over.

Jesus came the first time as our Savior, and we currently live in a grace period that has been given for people to receive salvation. But this grace time is almost over because Jesus is getting ready to return, only this time not as our Savior but as our King and Judge over the nations. The time to choose salvation is almost over!

Savior: For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.—Luke 19:10

Judge: For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.—2 Corinthians 5:10

let-your-light-shine-2This world is not a resort where Christians can bask in its luxuries. It’s a battleground where we fight every day for the souls of others. Jesus told us in Mark 16:15 to preach the gospel. We are to be His light on this earth and do His will while there is still time. Only those who have accepted God’s salvation and received His Spirit in their heart will get to Heaven so we must work quickly because time IS running out! (Luke 21:24). Just look around at the corruption and perversion that are replacing God’s laws. We are living in the time that Jesus warned us about in Matthew 24:1-44 when all the signs of His return would be evident.

Jesus is getting ready to call all the saints to Him: those who are dead will rise and we who are alive will join them in the air (1 Thessalonians 4:16-17), and we will be with Him forever. But once we are gone, the anti-Christ will come and God’s judgment will be poured out. Some people will get saved during that time when they’ll realize too late that they should have accepted salvation when it was offered! Sadly, they’ll have to die to get into Heaven.

After that tribulation, Jesus will return to earth as King, and the devil will be cast into the pit for a thousand years. Jesus will come with us, HIS reward, and we’ll reign with Him throughout the millenium.  We’ll have perfect bodies and the mind of Christ. What a blessing and honor it will be to rule with our Lord, and to know that nothing can ever separate us again!

This earth is a battleground and Heaven is our resort! Jesus said in John 16:33 that we would have tribulation here, so don’t let anyone deceive you into thinking that you won’t. Oh, we’ll have some good times here and even enjoy living because of our freedom in Christ, but our heart needs to be focused on sharing the gospel and getting people saved. This time is given to us to be witnesses of God’s love and to share the gospel and help others find salvation. Our rewards are in Heaven with Jesus. This is what Christians look forward to. This is what Heaven is: eternal blessings shared with Jesus, our Lord, Savior and King.

The greatest joy that any of us will ever have in our lifetime is when we can lay down a crown of rejoicing at the feet of Jesus for the souls we’ve brought to God! Our reward, our time to enjoy life, will be when we are with God throughout eternity. Jesus has prepared a place for us for that time, but for now, we work while it is still day.

  • In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.  And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.—John 14:2-3

I come quickly
